The new air-to-water heat pump range from Grant UK – the Aerona 290 – is now available to order. Incorporating the energy efficient R290 refrigerant, the Aerona 290 is described as combining sleek aesthetics with high performance and clever design.
Representing the fifth generation of air source heat pump from Grant, the Aerona 290 will be supplied alongside the company’s award-winning Aerona3 models, with 4, 6.5 and 9kW units initially available and larger outputs of 12 and 15.5kW coming early next year.
The R290 refrigerant boasts a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) and, by using a natural refrigerant which is a pure hydrocarbon, the new monobloc heat pump delivers a more environmentally friendly heat pump solution.
Featuring a durable, powder coated black casing, the Aerona 290 heat pump’s appearance has been developed following customer feedback. Meanwhile, the ultra-low noise levels of the units, which have achieved Quiet Mark accreditation, are the result of innovative sound-reducing features within the unit including acoustic cotton sound insulation in the casing and anti-vibration feet.
The units can be monitored and managed remotely, giving users good control of their heat pump system and assisting installers with offsite diagnostic support when required.
Available with a 7-year guarantee when installed by a G1 Installer, the Aerona 290 has been tested to perform in extreme temperatures from -25°C through to 35°C.
