Construction industry charity, Band of Builders is benefitting from a new 12-month corporate sponsorship agreement with Glow-worm. The charity supports tradespeople, construction workers and their families during times of crisis. Alongside its 24-hour wellbeing and crisis support service, which workers can contact for immediate, confidential support, the charity delivers rapid, high-impact home adaptation and renovation projects, mobilising the industry to support its own.
Glow-worm’s sponsorship builds on its ‘Got Your Back’ campaign, which focuses on providing tradespeople with the tools, resources and support they need to get the job done. The partnership with Band of Builders extends this commitment beyond practical solutions, helping to raise awareness of the charity’s vital work throughout 2026 and encouraging wider industry involvement.
James Fowler, marketing and strategy director at Glow-worm, comments: “While we will always have installers’ backs through reliable products, expert support and access to training, we want to go further. Our partnership with Band of Builders allows us to extend that support to those in the construction industry who are facing both professional and personal challenges. By working together, we can help ensure more tradespeople know where to turn when times get tough, while also encouraging others to get involved and support this important work.”
Band of Builders is already having a significant impact. By the end of 2025, the charity had completed 48 major home adaptation and renovation projects, worth almost £2 million, supporting individuals and families when they needed it most. Two projects are about to be completed and a further six have since been announced. See https://bandofbuilders.org/pages/upcoming-projects for the latest details.
All projects are delivered using the donated time and skills of construction industry volunteers, helping to build a community of more than 50,000 supporters, helpers and corporate partners nationwide.
