To further develop its training facilities, Stiebel Eltron has expanded its Bromborough headquarters by 20,000ft2 to equip more installers with the expertise they need to thrive in the heat pump industry. To date the company has trained more than 400 installers and expects to see a further 570 trained in the coming months.
The expansion involves creating a training workshop kitted out with the latest heat pump and renewable energy products for prospective installers to get to grips with.
With the new training area expected to be finalised in the coming year, the move forms part of Stiebel Eltron’s commitment to grow the UK’s heat pump market with a view that electricity is the fuel of the future.
The comprehensive training programme caters for all levels of installers and features the latest industry technology with a range of ground and air source heat pumps available.
Additionally, the programme offers qualified installers all the tools they need to progress their careers, with Stiebel Eltron providing them with support after the course throughout the installation process, not just at the point of purchase.
MD Mark McManus says: “With demand for heat pumps increasing, we’re seeing a growing number of industry professionals who want comprehensive knowledge of how they work, and how they are installed.
“Whether it is those just starting out on their career or those looking to transition away from gas boilers, our training programme is designed to cater for all with a course which delivers both technical knowledge and practical hands-on experience.
“With hundreds signing up to the course throughout the past year, expanding our headquarters to meet demand was a no brainer. We’re looking forward to further delivering a world-class trainee scheme and to inspiring the next generation of installers who will drive the UK’s heat pump market forward.”
