An installer from Cambridge has landed third place with his partner in the recent ZeeBra fishing competition in The Netherlands, against anglers from Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and England.
Ben Lawrence of BSL Heating is also a Baxi Approved Installer, so Baxi was pleased to sponsor him for the competition, which took place on 15 and 16 August 2020 at Spuibuzem Lake. To earn his third place, Ben caught 106 kilos of bream during the two-day competition.
“It was very hot, but after the year we’ve had so far, it was great to be back to competitive angling,” says Ben. “Keeping to your spot is part of the competition, so social distancing was not a problem! I am delighted to have achieved third place in this international competition.”
Ben set up BSL Heating in 2017 and his business has gone from strength to strength. His work is mainly installing and servicing boilers, and he became a Baxi Approved Installer in July 2018.
