Installers are set to be given the opportunity to win £2500 worth of business support from heating specialist Glow-worm after the launch of its ‘Energise My Business’ competition.

The competition, which will reward the winner with an expert marketing consultation to discuss the best ways to use their winning budget to support their business aspirations, follows a recent Installer Insight survey from Glow-worm, which found that four in ten installers have the ambition to grow their business in 2016 but many struggle to find the time or feel they lack the skills to take their business to the next level.

The heating firm highlights marketing support such as local advertising, radio and online, creating PR toolkits, refreshing van livery or branded work wear as potential uses for the prize fund, with the competition, which is open to all Gas-Safe registered installers, requiring participants to submit a video, photos or a short written entry explaining how they would benefit from the support.

Spencer Clark, Sales Director at Glow-worm, explains how achieving business growth often relies on taking a fresh look at the way a business is promoted and the lasting impression left on customers.

“At Glow-worm we understand those installers who want to reinforce their professional image through effective marketing however, we also understand it can be difficult to find the additional budget and time,” he says.

“Our recent installer report revealed that 30% of installers felt they lacked the time to think about business planning and others felt they lacked the funds for expansion. With Glow-worm’s Energise My Business campaign we want to give one ambitious installer the opportunity to make their business goals a reality and hopefully show others what can be achieved with some planning.”

Participants can submit their entries through the Club Energy website www.glow-wormclubenergy.co.uk/EnergiseYourBusiness and are encouraged to share their entries on Twitter @glow-wormclub. Entries will then be judged by Glow-worm’s Sales Director and marketing team with the winner announced on Friday, 3rd of June.
