The Chancellor of the Exchequer’s well publicised visit to the Worcester Bosch factory last Thursday (9th July) included a tour of the company’s production facilities and an overview of Worcester’s prototype hydrogen boiler. During his visit Rishi Sunak MP also met also with employees and chatted to a number of apprentices.

Martyn Bridges, director of technical communication and product management at Worcester Bosch, comments: “It was fantastic that Mr Sunak was able to visit our plant, learn more about our hydrogen prototype boiler from our team and meet some of our apprentices. We have a strong history in supporting apprentices, both within our own company and those working for our loyal installers. We regularly welcome gas engineer apprentices to our training centre in Worcester to help them grow their knowledge and experience in the heating sector.

“The support the Chancellor has announced for young people is very welcomed by us, as not only will it bring more opportunities for them but also help our industry to continue making strides in closing the skills gap.”
