Designed to combat limescale caused by hard water, the Caleffi eCAL by Altecnic is an electrolytic anti-scale device offers as a smart, sustainable, and maintenance-free alternative to chemical water softeners and traditional magnetic filters.
The Caleffi eCAL works by using a low-voltage electric field to convert calcium and magnesium ions into stable aragonite microcrystals, which remain suspended in the flow and are flushed out naturally, rather than forming scale on heating elements and pipework.
An integrated stainless steel filter (50μm) captures suspended particles, while a high-performance neodymium magnet traps ferromagnetic impurities, delivering dual protection.
A self-contained system with no moving parts, the eCAL reduces installation time and eliminates the need for regular servicing, with a 7-year average internal cartridge lifespan. It has been engineered to be as intuitive and efficient to install as it is to operate, with transparent filter chamber for clear visual inspection. Cleaning and maintenance is also made easier for the installer with tool free cleaning with a removable cartridge and isolated magnet chamber.
