‘Win work, get paid, make money’ is the theme of this year’s National StreetwiseSubbie Conference, to be held on 14th July in Nottingham. Created to provide practical advice and motivation, the Conference this year will feature keynote speaker Gordon Bromley, former CEO of Tropicana and CEO The Academy of Chief Executives.
Hosted by StreetwiseSubbie, the conference, now in its third year, aims to help specialists contractors with a range of issues including how to get paid promptly and in full, as well as how to market yourself and the benefits of getting proper insurance. There will also be advice on achieving better prices for work.
Barry Ashmore, MD of StreetwiseSubbie.com, comments: “The construction industry continues to suffer from the effects of the worst recession ever and specialist contractors are still going to the wall with unprecedented frequency. With extreme financial problems being experienced by large main contractors like Balfour Beatty, it’s not likely to improve anytime soon. That’s why Specialist contractors of every discipline should attend this conference.”
Speakers are either current or ex-specialist contractors, or work with specialist contractors.
