Designed to help installers capitalise on the growing demand for heating controls, Honeywell’s product training is split into two product groups: standard and connected controls.
The standard course provides an introduction into the world of heating controls covering everything from regulations to system design to product information. Delegates then put this theory into practice with a practical wiring session to guide them through the basic steps of wiring.
The connected course takes these principles and applies them to wifi-enabled thermostats. Installers will learn about the wider home automation market as well as Honeywell’s connected product range: Single Zone, evohome and Lyric T6.
All on-site training courses take a full day, with lunch and refreshments included in the package. Honeywell also has an online training platform so that installers can learn about two of its flagship products – Lyric T6 and evohome – from the comfort of their own homes.
Both online courses are split into digestible chunks, with users able to track their completion as a percentage. The evohome course covers everything from unboxing, to testing wireless signal strength, to handing over to the customer. The Lyric T6 course also guides users through the installation and commissioning process.
“No matter the level of experience, or time restrictions, we have a training course for everyone,” says Andy Mansfield, Marketing Communications Manager. “And with the uptake of smart thermostats on the rise, now is the time to get clued up and on the way to smart installer status.”
