Mitsubishi Electric has announced that Watford-based Sustain Homes Ltd is the first Heating Installer to achieve Accreditation as an official Committed Carbon Reduction Partner (CCRP). The recently launched scheme is designed to support trade customers in reducing their own carbon emissions and help them to secure new business by differentiating themselves from competitors.
As a nationwide installer of solar PV, battery systems and renewable heating solutions, Sustain Homes is at the cutting edge of the road to net zero in the nation’s housing.
“We see our mission as delivering peace of mind for our customers whether it’s in the products we install or the service and support we provide and that means being able to show our extensive knowledge about sustainability,” explains MD Adam Morse. “When we were introduced to Mitsubishi Electric’s carbon reduction scheme, I could see right away that it was just what we were looking for,” he adds.
The accreditation process starts with measuring a company’s carbon footprint, which helps to identify opportunities for reductions, and provides an opportunity to offset the carbon produced. Successful applicants also develop the skills, knowledge and experience needed to devise effective carbon reduction strategies, enabling them to stand out within an increasingly sustainability-conscious marketplace.
“The interest in finding renewable and sustainable ways of heating our homes and businesses has grown significantly and customers are looking for sustainable suppliers that can clearly demonstrate they know what they are talking about,” comments Oliver Collins, Channel Marketing Manager for Contractors at Mitsubishi Electric.
The accreditation is said to be an ideal way for installers to showcase their commitment and gain trust with customers. It also comes with marketing support from Mitsubishi Electric and, with ongoing learning from the Supply Chain Sustainability School, accredited companies can increase the knowledge and understanding they can offer their customers.
