Ideal Heating has launched a new incentive for installers taking on heat pump training, with the chance to win a weekend away in Madrid or Naples for completing an Expert Academy heat pump qualification.
The prize draw – Skill Up, Win a Holiday – is open to installers who attend and complete an in-person Heat Pump qualification training course at any Ideal Heating Expert Academy location between 14 July and 30 September 2025. Two lucky winners will each enjoy a weekend for two in a European city, with return flights and accommodation included.
The launch follows the roll-out of Ideal InstallPro, Ideal’s new MCS umbrella scheme powered by dwellow, and forms part of a wider £60m investment in heat pumps, training and UK-based manufacturing.
“Skill Up, Win a Holiday is an incentive we hope will give installers a well-earned reward while building the skills that really matter for the future of our industry,” says Andrew Johnson, Ideal Heating’s training and design services director.
“We’ve made big moves this year to make the heat pump journey easier – from course subsidies and on-site training to tools like Ideal InstallPro that cut the admin and unlock grant funding. This is about helping installers build their confidence and their business. That’s ideal.”
Ideal’s heat pump courses give heating engineers the skills, qualifications and real-world knowledge they need to install heat pumps with confidence. The training is recognised by MCS and includes water regulations, heat loss calculations, system design and commissioning support. Options also include F-Gas if required – all delivered by hands-on experts across UK Expert Academy training centres.
Installers who complete the course during the prize draw window will be automatically entered. There’s no extra admin or forms to fill in – just skill up, and you could win a holiday.
Together, these initiatives are designed to remove cost, complexity and confusion for installers – helping them grow their business while accelerating the UK’s transition to greener heating.
