The only event for all tradeswomen and trainees will be here in less than a month and almost all the tickets have gone. WIT is taking place on 4th July in London Metropolitan University’s Great Hall from 10-4pm.
Having begun as an event just for women plumbers, it is now consider the must-go event for women in all skilled trades.
The last few free tickets for tradeswomen and female skilled trades trainees can be ordered here https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/wit-2023-tickets-530670067457
The event is supported entirely by industry sponsors and sponsorship opportunities for this year are now closed.
For professionals interested in increasing diversity and inclusion in the industry, the conference offers a chance to hear what’s attractive (or not) to tradeswomen. For anyone looking at sponsoring next year, tickets are just £60, available on the same link.
With almost a quarter of women interested in working in skilled trades, but only 11% of the general population wanting to work in the sector, companies with the desire to get ahead of the skills gap could do much worse than finding what will encourage women and other minorities to enter it by attending WIT and hearing women’s own views.
The day includes speakers Hattie Hasan MBE as MC and Atlantic Rower, Sally Kettle, round table discussions, speakers from the floor, the now famous raffle (prizes can still be donated contact mica@stopcocks.uk) and a free lunch.
This year’s sponsors making the event possible: Monument Tools, Vaillant UK, Aalberts/Pegler, Kohler/Mira, Williams Trade Only Plumbing, Checkatrade, Stopcor, Adey, JTL Training, Swale Heating, EFIXX, Kensa, Fergus, Anton/Crowcon, Mark Vitow, LCL Awards and City Plumbing.
