Instantor has introduced the Leak Before Press (LBP) plumbing fitting, part of its press-fit system. They are designed to visibly leak under low pressure if they have not been pressed properly during installation. This feature allows installers to identify missed connections immediately, helping to reduce the risk of water damage and the need for return visits.
The LBP fittings are made from CW617N brass and 304 stainless steel, materials selected for their corrosion resistance and long-term durability. They are compatible with the Instantor Pex-Al-Pex pipe and available in sizes up to 32 mm. The fittings are designed for use in water-based systems and offer an alternative to Instantor’s original press fittings. When installed with the matching pipe, they are covered by a 50-year warranty.
