Instantor has made Leak Before Press (LBP) technology standard across its Instantor Press fittings.
The LBP feature is designed to make unpressed fittings visible during water-based installations. Fittings that have not been pressed are designed to leak under low pressure, providing a visual indication that the connection needs to be completed.
The system was first introduced in 2015, with LBP functionality added to the range in 2025. The technology is now included as standard across the Instantor Press fitting range.
The fittings have CW617N brass bodies and 304 stainless steel sleeves, and are approved by WRAS, KIWA and NSAI. They are also EPD verified.
The Instantor Press system includes Pex-al-Pex pipe options, with the pipe and fittings guaranteed for 50 years when used together.
