A new training centre in Manchester has been opened by Samsung. The facility aims to train 400 installers over the next year and will deliver courses to equip them with practical, hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge essential for installing and maintaining the company’s heat pump, air conditioning and smart control technologies.

Located in Orbit Development’s Cavendish House in Sale, the 4,004 sq.ft refurbished training centre now includes the addition of a garden room with a coffee and break-out area, along with electric charging stations, and complements Samsung’s existing Climate Solutions training facility in Chertsey.

Scott Young, national training manager at Samsung Climate Solutions, comments: “We are committed to sharing our expertise in heat and cooling technology and offering support in design, planning and commissioning, ensuring installers have a reliable safety net. Through the courses we offer, installers will learn how to implement efficient heating and cooling systems to give them the skills they need to advise their customers in technologies that are evolving every day.”

In addition to practical, hands-on training, the company also provides online resources through the Samsung Business Academy. The online platform provides greater flexibility so learning can take place around installers’ busy schedules.
