The Highbourne Group, parent company of City Plumbing, has announced that it has invested in two start-up businesses which could help its installer customers to generate recurring income. Set for launch in the coming months, Contract PAL and Compare PAL are the latest additions to the Group’s service-led propositions.

Both of the businesses are geared towards helping installers to drive recurring income by providing homeowners and landlords with service plans, extended warranties, maintenance or insurance contracts.

Dave Griggs, director of spares & services at Highbourne Group, explains: “Regular boiler servicing is critical to homeowner safety however recent statistics from the Gas Safe Register suggest that one in three homeowners are not getting their boilers serviced annually, meaning that the annual safety checks are not being done. Our latest investments in Compare PAL and Contract PAL will mean that we can help homeowners to access the essential services that they need whilst supporting plumbing and heating installers of any size to easily provide their own white-labelled service plans or make additional income by referring their customers to well-known service providers.”

Simon Gough, co-founder and director of Contract PAL Ltd and Compare PAL Ltd, adds: “We’re delighted to have received investment from Highbourne Group as we set to launch Contract PAL and Compare PAL to the heating industry. In addition to helping installers increase recurring revenue, both solutions simplify complex challenges that, up to now, could only be addressed by the industry’s largest companies.”
