UK-based home maintenance company Highbourne has acquired e-commerce retailer Plumbworld.
Highbourne operates 350 branches across the UK and Ireland under its primary trading brands, City Plumbing Supplies (CPS) and Plumbing Trade Supplies (PTS), as well as other several specialist online outlets.
Based in Evesham, Plumbworld specialises in selling affordable bathroom, kitchen, plumbing and heating products to consumers and trade customers. The company has more than 160 employees and has served more than 1.7 million customers since its foundation.
Highbourne specialises in distributing plumbing, heating and bathroom products to trade customers, including local installers and larger contract accounts.
The addition of Plumbworld is intended to strengthen Highbourne’s multi-channel capabilities for both trade and retail customers.
Plumbworld CEO James Hickman says: “The integration of Plumbworld into the Highbourne Group is an exciting new chapter for our business. The team at Highbourne are creating real momentum in the market and I see enormous potential for Plumbworld as part of that growth plan.”
