A partnership between independent plumbers’ merchant James Hargreaves and heat pump manufacturer Daikin has seen the opening of another Sustainable Home Centre. Located in Bradford, this is the fourth such centre that Daikin has launched in collaboration with the merchant.
Designed to encourage more people to adopt environmentally friendly solutions, the facility is open to both installers and homeowners, giving visitors the opportunity to learn more about the latest in heat pumps and other renewable energy technologies.
Sales director at James Hargreaves, Gary Beaumont, comments: “We’re all about building strong relationships and being a trusted partner, and this new Centre really helps us do that, connecting installers and homeowners with top-notch renewable energy solutions. We know how important it is for tradespeople to have access to the right products and the training they need to stay ahead, especially as we all move towards more sustainable homes. This Centre makes it simple and straightforward for our installers to develop their heat pump skills and get hands-on with the latest technology. Plus, it gives homeowners a chance to see these environmentally friendly heating solutions up close and understand the benefits for themselves. We’re confident that this new Centre will be a real asset to the community, helping everyone get the job done right, every time.’’
Iain Bevan, commercial manager of heating & renewables at Daikin UK, adds: “Our studies reveal that a staggering 68% of homeowners are unaware of the significantly higher energy efficiency of heat pumps over gas boilers. While gas boilers operate at 70-90% efficiency, heat pumps soar between 300-400%. There is an essential need to educate homeowners about heat pump technology, and our Sustainable Home Centres within the James Hargreaves Plumbing Supplies branches offer the ideal platform for such endeavours.’’
