Targeting commercial hotels and office buildings, the eco-cistem is a toilet cistern designed to conserve fresh water by using grey condensate water for flushing.

It operates by redirecting condensate water produced by air conditioning units, which typically would be disposed of through waste pipes. This grey water is collected and stored in the cistern, allowing it to be used for toilet flushing. The cistern has a patented twin-chamber design that holds up to 12 litres of condensate water, supplemented by a standard 6-litre chamber for fresh water. This system prioritises grey water for flushing, only resorting to fresh water when necessary to ensure effective performance.

As air conditioning usage increases, particularly due to climate change and improved building thermal efficiency, the potential for water savings becomes significant. Even small air conditioning units can produce over 1 litre of condensate per hour.

Manufactured in the UK, the eco-cistem is designed for concealed installation and fits standard service voids. It offers adjustable flush volumes between 3.5 and 6 litres, catering to various regional requirements. The product has received WRAS approval.
