Homeowners considering an air source heat pump will be able to see working systems at a free workshop in Swindon, as part of an initiative aimed at helping people decide whether the technology is suitable for their homes.
Grant UK is opening its Training Academy in Wiltshire for the sessions, which are being organised in partnership with Nesta. The workshops will give prospective customers an opportunity to see the equipment in person and ask questions about installation.
The first events are scheduled for October and December, with further sessions planned for early 2027.
Each workshop will last about an hour. Visitors will be able to see different models of Grant’s Aerona 290 and Aerona³ air source heat pumps, including smaller single-fan units and larger double-fan models.
A demonstration of a working system will show how the technology operates. Grant UK’s renewables specialists will also be available to discuss common questions and installation considerations. Attendees will receive information to help them consider the next steps if they decide to install a heat pump.
The sessions form part of Nesta’s Visit a Heat Pump initiative, which was launched in 2022. The initiative allows homeowners to see working air source heat pumps and speak to people who already have them installed.
