A new online platform has been launched today which aims to create more benefits and value for workers in different building related trades. TradeUnited has been designed to provide verified tradespeople with exclusive discounts and prize promotions. Whether employed, self-employed or subcontracting, members can join directly or access TradeUnited through participating employers.

The platform launches with offers from brands including Bosch Professional, Ledlenser, KeySafe, Drivalia, WasteOnline and Direct Ferries. As more of tradespeople join, TradeUnited aims to use the collective scale of its membership to unlock better benefits, services, support and opportunities for the people within it.

Co-founder Dave Hinchcliffe explains: “The trade is massive, but individually we’re still just individual customers. Bring enough of us together and that changes. That’s the thinking behind TradeUnited. If we can bring more of the trade together, we have more pull with the brands and businesses that want to work with that audience, and we can bring more of that value back to the people actually doing the job.

“We’re starting with useful offers from good brands, but that’s only the beginning. The bigger TradeUnited becomes, the more useful we want it to become for everyone who’s part of it.”

TradeUnited’s verification model means participating brands can provide benefits specifically to people working in the trades rather than making an offer available to the wider public. For employers, it also provides a ready-made way to offer additional benefits to their trade workforce, without limiting membership to people working for a particular company.
